Guest sniffles Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 We will most likely be offering our traditional PPO plan and a new HDHP. Does anyone have any pointers, tips, etc. for Open Enrollment materials and teaching employees how the HDHP (along with a HSA) works? Thank you for your help!
Guest Benny Comply Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 We rolled out an optional HDHP with HSA effective 1/1/2005 and with an extensive campaign, had 35% enrollment. We really "marketed" the option with employee meetings, video presentations, workbooks, etc. Since then we have not really promoted the plan, but in our enrollment materials we provide scenario examples which show what the employee's out-of-pocket costs (including contributions) would be under the HDHP plan compared to the traditional PPO plan. We also offer an online modeling tool. We conducted focus groups last year regarding our enrollment materials, and the participants responded very favorably to the modeling/cost comparison worksheets.
