MD-Benefits Guy Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 I have an employee who finalized a divorce in March and switched from Family HDHP to Individual HDHP. What would the federal limit on contributions be in his case? Would it be a prorated portion of the family limit?

Family limit from Jan - Feb (assume he switched on 3/1) .16*$6150 Individual limit from March - December (assume he has the HSA HP until Dec 1st) .83*3050
