Guest OUCH Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 Is it possible to receive a reimbursement for a future expense if the money is required to be paid before the service can be rendered? I have dental work that needs to be done. The dentist is requiring that I bring money to the appointment. Is this an eligible expense?
Chaz Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 Generally, no. Only expenses that have been "incurred" are eligible for reimbursement. Payment alone is not enough. There is an exception for medical treatments such as orthodontia that may cover more than one period of coverage. I'm not sure if that's the case here.
