Guest cshade Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I currently use EBIA as my 125 reference manual. My manager is wanting to know if there are any others available. Does anyone recommend anything other that the EBIA manual?
KJohnson Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Why is he/she looking at something else? I think it is the most comprehensive. The biggest frustration is when they ocassionally take out content to stick in a whole other manual which they want you to buy or when they mention a possible issue and say that it is covered in another of their manuals (which of course they want you to buy). But for secondary sources I usually go first to EBIA on the welfare/125 plan side and Sal on the qualified plan side.
SLuskin Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 We have the whole EBIA suite and attend their conferences. I also use 2 law firms when things get sticky and you actually need to talk to someone.
Guest cshade Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Thanks everyone, I think we'll be keeping them.....although I did forfeit the CDHC manual.... )
Belgarath Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Is there a decent cafeteria plan reference source that isn't too technical - sort of for a high level skim of the basics? This would be for someone (me) who knows NOTHING about cafeteria plans. I just need to familiarize myself with them, but not in too much depth at this time. Beyond that, for the more technical issues, any other recommendations other than what has already been mentioned? Thanks.
QDROphile Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 The EBIA manuals have a "short course" summary section in the beginning. EBIA is available with an RIA Checkpoint subscription.
Guest odessa477 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 EBIA manuals are the best, they have an in depth coverage of importance you need to know.
