Guest kjeliaz Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 What are the requirements for communicating a change in an FSA plan year. An employer wants to switch from 12 month calendar year Jan-Dec to a short 6 month year in order to align with other benefits.
Guest matthew222 Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 I would think your FSA adminstrator should be able to answer this question fairly easily. I would strive for at least a 60-day notice since PPACA has this as a new requirement for material modifications for plan years beginning on or after March 23, 2012. This will at least keep things consistent internally.
