Guest New@Benefits Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Hello all! I hope someone can help me. I have been asked to conduct a nondiscrimination testing for the health and dependent care spending accounts and I have no clue how to even start. My past experience was to work with a consulting firm who would conduct the testing for us once I provided the census information. Can someone guide me throught the calculations or a reference that I could possibly review. The information online only mentions the type of testing but does not go into details as to how to go about calculating each testing section. Any help will be appreciated!
QDROphile Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 EBIA publishes materials (Cafeteria Plans manual) that provide rather detailed guidance. Some testing is subject to uncertainty, so don't expect a simple step-by-step, fill in th blanks template. Your prior consultant amy have boiled everything down to a mechanical procedures after having made some choices. The difficulty will be with the health FSA. The dependent care FSA is more straightforward.
Guest New@Benefits Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Thank you I will definately look into this option.
Guest New@Benefits Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Does anyone have a sample nondiscrimination calculations that would be able to share? No data needed I just need to know how to calculate my numbers utilizing my census information.
