Tom Poje Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 a more realistic approach to the world of DBs and actuaries aspresented bySam Cooke in "What a Wonderful World"Don’t know much about this DBThere’s a funding de-fi-cien-cyAnd I know that they are on the hookI-R-S wants to take a lookAnd I do know that the dollars are fewAnd the contribution’s overdueWhat a terrible plan this DBDon’t know much about ac-tu-ar-iesNo sense of humor, no per-so-nal-i-tiesLet us cut it quickly to the coreEveryone knows they are a boreThey will tell you one and one is threeOr whatever you want it to beWhat a strange world this ac-tu-ar-yNow I know, I’m not an “A” student [“A” for actuary of course!]I’m not trying to beFor maybe by being an ac-tu-ar-yNo one would understand meDon’t know much about P-B-G-CSupposedly it’s a guar-an-teeThen the rules changed under P-P-AEven more confusion to this daySo let’s eliminate them two by twoFor if actuaries were a fewWhat a wonderful world it would be.Instrumental pauseSo let’s eliminate them two by twoFor if actuaries were a fewWhat a wonderful world it would be. wwrld.mid
david rigby Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I feel like Rodney Dangerfield. I'm a retirement actuary. Nothing about my comments is intended or should be construed as investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Occasionally, but not all the time, it might be reasonable to interpret my comments as actuarial or consulting advice.
mphs77 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I would have hoped the lack of an Actuarial Song of the Year category on last night's Grammy awards might be corrected next year. But with tunes as we have received in the past week or so, I am not sure that is a good thing.....
My 2 cents Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I would have hoped the lack of an Actuarial Song of the Year category on last night's Grammy awards might be corrected next year. But with tunes as we have received in the past week or so, I am not sure that is a good thing..... It's one of those "You had to be there" kinds of things! Always check with your actuary first!

K2retire Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Perhaps we could get my friends at the Grammy award winning Kansas City Chorale to perform some of these next year!
