Spencer Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 We attach the entire audit report when filing large 5500s. We have a client who's TPA only attached the accountant's opinion (the letter) to the filing. So I'm wondering what others do. p.s. we attach the Schedule of Assets Held and Reportable Transaction also even if they were included in the audit report.
ESOP Guy Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Full auditor's report. This might be the first time I have even heard of someone just putting the letter out there. We tend to repeat the attachments. It might be we take the report's version of the attachment and just use those if they are real long to save time but we repeat them. Spencer and K2retire 2
bzorc Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Definitely full report. Surprised the DOL hasn't rejected a filing with just the opinion letter. Also attach schedule of investments and reportable transactions. They're a separate requirement. Spencer 1
