Guest Melissa Winslow Posted September 22, 2000 Posted September 22, 2000 What is the difference between a medical flexible spending account (FSA) and medical reimbursement under a 125 plan? Is there a benefit to one over the other? Any available text to compare/contrast them would be helpful.
Lisa Hand Posted September 24, 2000 Posted September 24, 2000 Melissa: Are you asking about MSAs (Medical Savings Accounts)? Because a Medical Flexible Spending account(FSA) and a medical reimbursement under section 125 are basically the same thing.
Guest Melissa Winslow Posted September 25, 2000 Posted September 25, 2000 Thanks Lisa - I just wanted to confirm that medical reimbursement under 125 and FSA's are pretty much the same as it seems the terms are used interchangeably in some literature.
