Guest JennT Posted April 13, 1999 Posted April 13, 1999 Does a 125 cafeteria flexible benefits plan that includes a child care reimbursement account and a premium only plan for health & dental insurance need to have a summary plan document for both or just for the child care since the others are only premium only?
KIP KRAUS Posted April 13, 1999 Posted April 13, 1999 Jenn T: Over the years I have been advised by ERISA council that a premium only Section 125 does require a Plan Document and SPD. In fact, we currently have a premium only plan and it is established by a Plan Document and we issue an SPD.
Guest Vicki Dungan Posted April 15, 1999 Posted April 15, 1999 You don't need separate SPDs for the health and dental premiums. One for health care reimbursement account (premium only) and one for dependent care reinbursement account. I believe you need separate plan documents for each plan, but you can combine the SPDs if you wish and publish them as one booklet that describes both plans. ------------------ Vicki L.
