Guest vmpalmer Posted March 6, 2001 Posted March 6, 2001 I am a home health nurse who is required to use my own personal car for my work. Last week my car was damaged while I had it parked at a hospital I was delivering a patient's blood sample to. It was a "hit and run" accident so, my car insurance won't increase. My employer says they won't pay the deductible, that the mileage reimbursement I receive covers "wear and tear" on my vehicle. I don't consider a dented front quarter panel and hood "wear and tear". I feel the company should pay the deductible. Who's right? I live in the state of Oregon.
KIP KRAUS Posted March 6, 2001 Posted March 6, 2001 In my opinion the company is right. However, right or wrong I can understand why they don't pay your deductible.
