Guest Dick Boever Posted April 17, 2001 Posted April 17, 2001 Question for the TPA's. Who is using Corbel or another 125 Plan Document provider? Any thoughts on the pros and cons? Do any of the document providers have a true Cafeteria Plan Document with Benefit Credits etc.? Who has a 1/1/2002 legal document? Thanks for your input.
Guest TamaraB Posted April 18, 2001 Posted April 18, 2001 I'm not a TPA, but I may be able to help. When you refer to "Benefits credits" do you mean flexible benefit credit dollars (a flat amount given by the employer to the employee to cover benefit costs)? If so, I'd be willing to send you a copy of our Plan Document and SPD. Let me know. Our documents are good as of 1/1/00 - we used the "proposed" reg's at that time which are now final reg's.
SLuskin Posted April 20, 2001 Posted April 20, 2001 We have our documents drafted by an attorney. We have an agreement with him whereby we can change the name of the client and the client data. Whenever there is a change in the regs, or I read of something which I think should be included or changed, I send it to him and he either makes the appropriate changes or lets me know why his language is preferable. We have been using him for about 10 years, and he is one of the top ERISA attorneys. He has provided us with 3 different sets of documents and SPDs. One for premium only, one for Flexible Spending, and one for the full "benefit credit" cafeteria plans.
