Industry Best Practices for Cyber Security

SPARK Institute

Dec. 13, 2017

11:00 a.m. - Noon ET

Every plan sponsor – large or small, for profit or nonprofit – maintains data on plan participants that is valuable and sensitive. As a plan sponsor you want to know that your plan’s service providers are diligently protecting this data.  The SPARK Institute recently developed Industry Best Practices for record keepers to use when communicating to plan sponsors the protections they employ to guard this sensitive data.  Previously, record keepers were reluctant to answer client questions about their cyber security practices for fear that those answers would end up in the hands of cyber criminals and used to gain access to private participant information. These new Industry Best Practices for Cyber Security provide an effective tool for plan sponsors and record keepers to share and communicate data security capabilities without increasing cyber threats and opening up record keeping systems to cybercrimes.

Please join us online December 11 at 4 pm OR December 13 at 11 am Eastern for a presentation which will explain these Best Practices. This presentation is designed to help plan sponsors better understand the threats they face and how they can use these new tools to protect their plans and participants from unlawful access to data.  Space is limited, so we have scheduled several sessions.  The link below will take you to our online registration. Please register early to secure your preferred date and time.
