What's Left of Obamacare Requirements for Employer-Sponsored Health Plans

Oct. 16, 2018
Recorded Online

The requirements of the Affordable Care Act (ACA; a/k/a Obamacare) have undergone significant changes during the last two years, but despite congressional attempts the ACA has not been repealed. The changes that have been made affect penalty amounts, notice provisions, cost-sharing limits, affordability levels, coverage of contraception services, and more. The changes have left some employers with questions about what is still required, what changes they can make to their health plans, what penalties may apply, and how they should respond to employee questions about changes to their health coverage.

Please join Christine Williams as she covers the current status of ACA requirements for employer-sponsored health plans, including changes that have been made and what is still required.

Just a sampling of what this webinar will cover:

  • What employers will need to do to avoid shared responsibility penalties for plan year 2019
  • Changes to the affordability levels and cost-sharing limits for 2019 coverage
  • Employer reporting requirements and increased penalty amounts for plan year 2018
  • The likely effect on employers of zeroing-out the individual mandate penalty
  • The status of preventive care requirements, including coverage of contraceptive services
  • Required changes to the mandatory marketplace notice
  • The status of the emergency services regulations
  • The amount and sunset of Patient-Centered Outcomes Research fees
  • What constitutes an essential health benefits package
  • Changes to the Summary of Benefits and Coverage
  • And much more!
