Update on the April 2019 EPCRS Changes

May 15, 2019
Recorded Online

In less than 7 months after the IRS released the 2018 version of EPCRS, they’ve issued a new version, with important changes practitioners have requested. Most important, participants can now self-correct their loan defaults and not face a 1099-R! You can now self-correct certain plan document failures, but you have to be quick. And the IRS will allow retroactive amendments to handle benefits, rights, and features, such as in-service distributions, that were operationally available but not reflected in the plan document.

Join Ilene Ferenczy, Stephen Forbes, and Derrin Watson for an in depth discussion of the new rules and what they mean for you.

50 minutes (1 hour CE for ERPA / NIPA / ASPPA)

Presented by:

  • Ilene H. Ferenczy, J.D., CPC, APA
  • Stephen W. Forbes, J.D., LL.M.
  • S. Derrin Watson, JD, APM
