One of the key qualification requirements is ensuring an employer’s plan document conforms to both the operation of the plan and the law. It is rare to have a “routine” plan amendment or plan restatement.
This session will highlight some of the problem areas practitioners encounter when amending or restating a plan.
- Apply restatement deadlines to the various types of plans and plan documents.
- Determine the appropriate effective date for an amendment and/or a restatement.
- Evaluate whether amendments are executed properly and timely.
