During this workshop, our speakers will guide us through a holistic approach to financial wellness including retirement readiness. The achievement of a healthy retirement means looking beyond the traditional retirement plan to maximize other plan benefits and investment solutions. Plan sponsors have the opportunity to think about financial wellness holistically, considering the health savings account (HSA) as another vehicle for retirement security – not just a healthcare benefit.
We will learn the ins-and-outs of overall financial wellness including: how healthcare costs threaten retirement readiness, how health savings accounts (HSAs) can complement a defined contribution plan, the potential of the HSA as a retirement savings vehicle, the impact the HSA is having on 401(k) plan deferrals, how the financial wellness of employees impacts the financial wellness of the employer, and the evolution of voluntary employee benefits.
