This event promises to be an informative and interactive presentation that will provide attendees with an up-to-the-minute Washington update including the latest on the Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement Act of 2019 (SECURE) and Retirement Security and Savings Act of 2019 Act (RESA). With an expected revenue impact of $16 billion, industry experts agree that this bipartisan legislation represents the most significant potential changes to the U.S. retirement system in more than a decade. The SECURE Act is a bipartisan bill intended to make private retirement plans easier and more affordable to operate and administer. The RESA Act is a reintroduction of the Cardin-Portman Act and is intended to make retirement savings more accessible for sm all employers through the availability of multiple employer plans, tax credits and increased focus on automatic enrollment features. These bills are receiving significant media attention and play prominently in discussions with retirement clients even before the legislation is finalized.
