Washington Update Briefing

Apr. 2, 2020
Recorded Online

With healthcare a top voter concern, Congress is moving to pass a legislative package in May that decreases drug prices, ends “surprise” medical bills, improves access to healthcare cost and quality information, and takes other steps to reduce healthcare costs. The Trump administration is pushing ahead with its regulatory agenda aimed at lowering costs, enhancing transparency, and improving marketplace competition.

On the retirement front, bipartisan congressional interest in retirement security remains high as lawmakers consider a new round of reforms and regulators race to issue SECURE Act guidance. Meanwhile, court actions could reshape employers’ healthcare and retirement programs. On the campaign trail, Democratic presidential candidates are staking out positions on healthcare and other key benefits issues.

Finally, employers need to keep up with recent developments in executive / director compensation and governance.

Experts from Mercer’s Law & Policy Group and Executive Law & Regulatory Group will discuss these and other issues during this live web briefing

Learn about the latest compliance and policy issues impacting employee health and retirement benefits and executive compensation — and what employers should prepare for — during this must-attend briefing.
