The Senate Parliamentarian has determined that the House Pension and COBRA provisions can remain in the Reconciliation bill forwarded to the Senate. Segal is preparing a webinar discussion for March 16, under the expectation that the Senate will vote early next week and the President will sign by March 12.
The American Rescue Plan of 2021 includes COVID-19 relief measures and also includes relief for troubled multiemployer defined benefit (DB) pension plans and funding relief for single-employer DB pension plans.
