Organizations must comply with a myriad of data privacy and security laws and must have cybersecurity procedures to secure data and respond to a breach.  Our panelists will provide an overview of organizational data privacy and security considerations, cybersecurity and ERISA fiduciary responsibilities, and best practices to connect the two areas of oversight for benefit plan management. Plan sponsors and fiduciaries also have a duty to mitigate cybersecurity risks with respect to benefit plan data.  Yet, the areas of organizational cybersecurity and benefit plan management are often siloed.   Bridging the gap between these areas is critical.
