Managing intermittent leave is a key pain point for HR teams – one that gets more complex every year. In this webcast, three national leave experts share their insights to help HR teams address these ongoing challenges and help employers transform their existing intermittent leave processes. They’ll also discuss the tech innovations changing how larger employers manage intermittent leave.

Presenters:

Angel Bennett is Assistant Vice President of Leave and ADA Solutions at Unum. She has been with Unum since 2003 and has held many roles within benefits and absence management, including positions in long term disability, short term disability, leave management, paid leave and ADA. Bennett led the charge in standing up Unum's first paid leave organization in 2017 and continues to drive success in the department. She also oversees Unum's growing ADA department, which has become an essential part of the company's leave offering.

Daris Freeman, J.D. is Assistant Vice President, Legal Counsel at Unum. She has spent more than 20 years at Unum focused on all things absence management. Freeman's primary responsibility is to support Unum’s Absence Management operation, which administers FMLA, paid leave, ADA and over 200 complementary state laws. She also partners with state agencies through rulemaking and operational workgroups to apply her expertise and experience to the development of their programs. In addition, Freeman assists in the development of Unum’s products and services to help clients comply with paid leave requirements while integrating with existing leave and pay programs.

Rich Lappin is the VP of Platform Strategies – Platform Partnerships at Unum. Lappin has spent 25 years in the insurance industry in a variety of roles including benefits, reporting and analytics, account management, and implementation. He’s currently leading Unum’s efforts to improve the employer and employee experience for customers using the Workday system.
