Press release:

Newkirk’s 401(k) Portal To Offer Brucker Documents

Issued by: Newkirk

Date: July 26, 2000

July 26, 2000 (Albany, NY) -- Newkirk Products, Inc. and its subsidiary, McKay Hochman Company, Inc., announced today that they have entered into an exclusive internet license with the Los Angeles law firm of Brucker Morra & Hiltunen, APC, and its ERISADOCS, Inc. arm to offer the Brucker/ERISADOCS volume submitter retirement plan documents over Newkirk’s 401(k) Portal(SM) Internet-based document delivery system. Terms of the agreement were not released.

Brucker Morra & Hiltunen is the largest Southern California firm exclusively practicing employee benefits law. The firm has expertise in every tax and labor aspect of pension law, and the firm’s volume submitter documents are highly regarded in the national employee benefits community, particularly among third party administrators and accounting and law firms. The volume submitter documents have been updated for the so-called “GUST” law changes and IRS approval is expected shortly.

Newkirk is the leading provider of retirement plan enrollment materials and, together with its subsidiaries MasteryPoint Technologies and McKay Hochman, offers a comprehensive package of employee benefit communication, investment education, and plan document/consulting services to plan service providers. McKay Hochman is an employee benefits consulting firm that is a leading provider of the prototype retirement plan documents typically used by larger institutions.

Newkirk’s 401(k) Portal(SM) is a comprehensive Internet-based retirement plan services website that, among other features, allows retirement plan service providers to create plan documents online through McKay Hochman’s INTERNET DOCMAN(R) product. According to Rich Hochman, President of McKay Hochman, “The addition of the Brucker/ERISADOCS(TM) volume submitter documents enables us to offer a full range of documents for service providers, from large financial institutions to smaller TPA, accounting, and law firms. The Brucker name brings instant recognition and credibility to the INTERNET DOCMAN(R) product among the users of volume submitter documents.”

Alex Brucker, President of Brucker Morra & Hiltunen/ERISADOCS(TM), said “I have known Rich Hochman for many years and we’ve often talked about doing business together. Teaming with the people at Newkirk and McKay Hochman provides a broader market for our documents and provides them with an additional service to offer providers.”

Newkirk’s CEO Ray Newkirk stated that Newkirk intends to offer its document generation and delivery services in a way that will be economical for both large and small users. “We will offer a ‘by the document’ pricing model for firms that don’t expect to produce a large volume of documents and an ‘all you can eat’ model for higher volume users.” Newkirk expects the 401(k) Portal(SM) INTERNET DOCMAN(R) component to be available to users by late this summer.
