BUSINESS FINANCE ANNOUNCES UPDATED VERSION OF SALARYCENTRAL, THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE COMPENSATION DATABASE ON THE WEB FOR FINANCE EXECUTIVES

November 1, 2000 - LOVELAND, CO - Business Finance magazine has announced the release of its newly updated Interactive Compensation Database, a free Web-based salary compensation assessment tool for finance executives.
Changes brought about by economic, cultural and technological developments have profoundly affected the responsibilities and earning potential for financial professionals in recent years, making it a challenge for professionals in the field to determine exactly what they're worth. The Interactive Compensation Database is an easily accessible database with the latest compensation information that offers a wealth of resources for financial professionals to analyze their present and future salaries and bonus compensation. Finance executives can perform “what-if” analyses to examine their compensation across a range of criteria including company size, experience, responsibilities, certifications, functions reporting to them, and the factors that attracted them to their current position.
The information in the database is based on the 2000 Finance Executives Compensation Survey sponsored by Business Finance and AOC. The in-depth survey, completed by more than 1,400 finance executives, was conducted and tabulated by Up2Right Consulting in August 2000. The purpose of the study was to quantify the effect of location, company size, education, certifications, skills, decision-making responsibilities and work experience on finance executives’ compensation and career potential. To query the database or browse the editorial summary of the survey results, log on to www.businessfinancemag.com/salary.
Business Finance, a monthly business magazine, is published by Duke Communications International, Loveland, Colo., a subsidiary of Penton Media Inc., Cleveland, Ohio. For more information, visit www.businessfinancemag.com.
