Retirement Advisor Council Elects Board Members Ryan Mullen and Barbara Delaney

East Granby, CT – August 28, 2014 – The Retirement Advisor Council elected Barbara J. Delaney, AIF®, PRP® Principal, StoneStreet Advisor Group, LLC /1/ and Ryan Mullen, CIMA®, ARPC, Ryan Mullen, Senior Managing Director and Head of Defined Contribution, MFS Investment Management to its Executive Board.

On the Board, Barbara Delaney will represent the Advisor college, and Ryan Mullen will represent the Investment Manager college. They join James D. Robison, AIF® (White Oak Advisors), Paul Mahan, AIF® (Commonwealth Financial Network), and Adrian Hodge (Fidelity Investments).

The Executive Board provides leadership for all Council activities and oversight to Executive Director Eric Henon. The five-member Executive Board includes representatives of each segment of the membership: advisors (2 seats), practice leaders, service providers and investment managers (1 seat each.)< />Formed in May 2009, the Council advocates for successful retirement outcomes through the collaboration of experienced, qualified retirement plan advisors, investment firms and asset managers, and defined contribution plan service providers.

About the Council

The Retirement Advisor Council is a national organization that advocates for successful qualified plan and participant retirement outcomes through the collaborative efforts of experienced, qualified retirement plan advisors, investment managers and defined contribution plan service providers.  To advance its mission, the Council undertakes initiatives in the areas of research, public relations and promotion, general public education, regulatory positions and practice management.  The Council accomplishes this mission by:

  • Identifying duties, responsibilities, and attributes of the Professional Retirement Plan Advisor.
  • Sharing professional standards with plan sponsors who are responsible for the success of their plans.
  • Providing collective thought capital to decision makers, product providers, legislators and the public.
  • Giving voice to the retirement plan advisor community
  • Offering tools to evaluate advisors to ensure the quality of services provided.
