Press release:

PSCA Announces the Winners of the 2015 Signature Awards

Issued by: PSCA [Plan Sponsor Council of America]

Date: Oct. 21, 2015

Chicago (October 20, 2015) – The Plan Sponsor Council of America (PSCA) announced the winners of the 2015 Signature Awards during a luncheon presentation at PSCA’s 68th Annual National Conference at the Chicago Marriott O’Hare, Chicago, Illinois on October 13, 2015.

The PSCA Signature Awards recognize the most effective and creative plan sponsor and participant communications and education in the retirement industry. PSCA acknowledges all the entrants’ efforts and encourages all plan sponsors to continue their hard work in the area of communication and education.

Signature Awards winners are examples to their colleagues in their own organizations and to their peers in the industry. They remain engaged in the process of improving the effectiveness of participant communication and education. By so doing, they show their participants that by focusing on their retirement plan and finances in general, they can achieve their life goals and attain financial well-being.

This year, Signature Awards judges recognized 33 winners in 13 categories.  A group of 28 plan sponsors and communication experts reviewed close to 200 entries during one day in July.  Collectively, they evaluated editorial, design, and implementation of plan participant, plan sponsor, and general public defined contribution communication and investment communications.  Signature Awards judges carefully review the metrics provided with each entry and analyze how effective the campaign was at achieving stated goals.

As in past years, it is apparent that companies pay very close attention to their corporate cultures and employees’ needs when designing their communication programs. With often technical information being conveyed it was paramount that careful development of the message and delivery of the information was achieved. The level of consideration by employers for their employees was very clear in this year’s entries. Once again, financial wellness as an overall goal was prevalent, emphasizing that a more holistic approach to communications with employees is taking effect.

The winners of the 2015 Signature Awards were celebrated at the National Conference and are featured in the 2015 Signature Awards Magazine, an annual publication that describes the details of the winning entries and their successful results. The Signature Awards Magazine is used by industry experts to increase the quality and effectiveness of defined contribution education and communication at hundreds of other plan sponsor companies and is available on our website at www.psca.org/signature-awards.
