Press release:

Kenneth Raskin Elected to Chair the PSCA Board

Issued by: PSCA [Plan Sponsor Council of America]

Date: May 2, 2017

Chicago (May 2, 2017) -- The Plan Sponsor Council of America (PSCA) today announced that Kenneth Raskin will chair PSCA’s Board of Directors.  He will assume a one-year term starting on June 1 with the potential to renew for a second year.  Raskin succeeds Stephen McCaffrey, who has served as board chair since 2014.

“Ken brings excellent experience to his role as board chair,” said Jack Towarnicky, Executive Director. “He has been a member of our board for 3 years and has spent more than 30 years working as an advocate for employers sponsoring employee benefit and executive compensation programs. We look forward to his leadership.”

Raskin is a Partner at King & Spalding and chairs the firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice. Raskin also serves on King & Spalding’s Retirement Plans Committee, which oversees the firm’s retirement plans. Raskin is experienced in tax-qualified retirement plans and welfare benefit plans, assisting clients in maintaining IRS and ERISA compliance and in negotiating the resolution of qualification problems under the IRS's and DOL's compliance resolution programs.

Said Raskin, “I look forward to helping PSCA navigate potential challenges to participant-directed retirement plans and retirement savers as the new Administration implements its agenda. I’ve worked closely with my predecessor, Steve McCaffrey, who provided exemplary service to PSCA.  I hope to continue his great work on behalf of America’s plan sponsor community.”
