Willis Towers Watson expands strategic partnership to Plug and Play’s newest innovation platform

Issued by: Willis Towers Watson

Date: Mar. 19, 2018

Enterprise 2.0 broadly addresses organizational challenges through innovative solutions across Human Capital, Finance, Information Technology, Legal and Operations

ARLINGTON, VA, March 19, 2018 — Willis Towers Watson (NASDAQ: WLTW), a leading global advisory, broking and solutions company announced today they have joined as one of only two Founding Anchor Partners of Plug and Play’s newest innovation platform, Enterprise 2.0, focused on transforming management structures, company culture and how work gets organized. The launch event was held recently at Plug and Play’s headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA.

Through Enterprise 2.0, Willis Towers Watson and Plug and Play will collaborate with start-ups and other corporations to drive innovation and efficiencies in Finance, HR, IT, Legal and Operations. The startups will be identified in collaboration with corporate partners, venture capital funds, universities and other organizations.

“We’re very pleased to be a founding partner with Plug and Play in this important area,” said Anne Bodnar, chief human resources officer, Willis Towers Watson. “Enterprise 2.0 is based on the premise organizations that develop and sustain an innovative culture will be best positioned to engage their workforce and leverage technology to execute their business strategies and advance operations. This program will help prepare organizations for what lies ahead across essential parts of their enterprise.”

The endeavor will include a special emphasis on talent. Its aim is to retool human capital strategies and solve key challenges like responding to the gig economy, recruiting, onboarding, performance and learning management, rewards and recognition, and benefits and payroll.

“Digital transformation and shifting talent needs are disrupting organizations around the globe,” said Suzanne McAndrew, global Talent business lead, Willis Towers Watson. “With one of its key areas of focus on human capital, Enterprise 2.0 will enable us to identify opportunities with start-ups to offer forward-looking solutions on how to hire, build, reward, lead and engage the talent our clients need to achieve desired business outcomes and a stronger, more profitable future.”

“Enterprise 2.0 embodies the spirit of Plug and Play by bringing innovation to life for organizations, and we are excited to partner with Willis Towers Watson,” said Saeed Amidi, founder and chief executive officer, Plug and Play. “Our partnership will develop practical paths to help organizations incorporate technology and automation into their enterprise strategy and achieve a stronger and more profitable future.”

Willis Towers Watson and Plug and Play also partner on innovation platforms across Health and Wellness and Insurtech. Recently, Willis Towers Watson received the Corporate Innovation Award for its significant engagement and start-up mentorship in Plug and Play’s Health and Wellness platform.
