Cowden Associates, Inc. Hires Top Talent for Health and Benefits, Retirement / Actuarial and Compensation Practices

PITTSBURGH, December 10, 2018 -- Pittsburgh-based Cowden Associates, Inc. (Cowden), the leading independent actuarial, compensation, and employee benefits consulting firm in the tri-state region, has hired Erin L. Gallagher, senior analyst for health and benefits, Christian Slates, analyst for retirement/actuarial, and Sean Gallagher, compensation and financial analyst.

Erin Gallagher
Erin has joined Cowden's health and benefits practice as a Senior Analyst. Erin's experience in the benefits industry includes eight years at an international consulting firm as a Benefits Service Manager and a Senior Client Service Team Leader. In her role, she will be responsible for providing support to the health and benefits consulting team and in advising clients on the intricacies of their health and welfare plans. Her primary focus will be on plan funding strategies, compliance and overall plan management initiatives.

Christian Slates
Christian is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. He has passed four of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams and is continuing his pursuit of becoming an Associate of the Society of Actuaries. Christian will provide actuarial analysis to support retirement consulting services for a wide range of clients.

Sean Gallagher
Sean joined Cowden's compensation practice as an Analyst. Sean's experience includes working at an international consulting firm providing administrative client services with a focus on benefits plan administration and management. Sean will be responsible for research, analytics and client servicing for our compensation practice.
