|Chicago (July 11, 2019) - The Plan Sponsor Council of America (PSCA), part of the American Retirement Association (ARA), is seeking input from the nation's retirement plan sponsors for its 62nd Annual Survey of Profit Sharing and 401(k) Plans.
The survey, the longest running and most comprehensive source of benchmarking data on profit sharing and 401(k) plans, includes insight on participation, contribution rates, automatic features, and investment advice. These results help plan sponsors with plan administration, participant communication, and investment election decisions - and also help guide thoughtful retirement plan policy by regulators and legislators. The deadline to participate is Aug. 9.
For example, the 2018 survey revealed record contribution rates by employers, as well as marked increases in the use of advisors, and plan design features like automatic enrollment alongside higher default contribution rates.
"We rely on the plan sponsor community to participate in this critical benchmarking survey," said Hattie Greenan, director of research and communications at PSCA. "Beyond the insights it provides policy makers, it's an essential tool for employers who are seeking to become or remain 'employers of choice' in today's competitive labor environment."
Participating plan sponsors will receive a copy of the full results at no cost. Advisors and providers that successfully refer clients to the survey will also receive a free copy of the survey report - those interested can request a sample e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. Employers that offer a workplace retirement plan can participate in the survey here.
