Press release:

NIPA announces new EPCRS Certificate Course

Issued by: NIPA [National Institute of Pension Administrators]

Date: Aug. 15, 2019

NIPA is excited to announce that we will be offering a EPCRS certificate course. This new course was developed by Ilene Ferenczy and Alison Cohen from Ferenczy Benefits Law Center. As a TPA, you know that plan qualification is a difficult thing to maintain due to the extensive, and sometimes excessive, regulation of qualified plans. The IRS Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System (EPCRS) is the key source for the majority of corrections TPAs need to perform. The New EPCRS certificate course will be a detailed examination of the rules within EPCRS, the procedures for properly evaluating a discovered failure, guidance on how to correct these failures, and step-by-step instructions on filing through the Voluntary Correction Program.

Target Audience
The target audience for this course is a TPA, service provider, or consultant with 2-3 years or more of experience, who seeks a comprehensive understanding of error correction under EPCRS in order to properly advise, guide and support clients in correcting plan failures.

Course Overview
This course is comprised of 13 online lessons and an open-book exam.
