Press release:

Nicholas Dobelbower named director of Lockton Global Benefits

Issued by: Lockton

Date: Sept. 12, 2019

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 13, 2019 - Lockton has named Nicholas Dobelbower as senior vice president and director of the Global Benefits practice. The US-based Global Benefits practice brings Lockton clients the expertise to effectively leverage Lockton's worldwide resources to address multinational benefits needs.

"The global benefits expertise Nick brings to the Global Benefits practice will be an essential part of Lockton's growth in the global benefits space," said Tom Schaffler, chief executive officer of Lockton's Midwest Series. "His tenure with Lockton and vast knowledge of the industry will support the long-term strength of this Global Benefits practice."

Dobelbower has been with Lockton since 2011, most recently serving as intellectual capital practice leader for Lockton Global Benefits. Prior to joining Lockton, Dobelbower gained extensive experience in international consulting and research work with multinational clients, establishing and managing affiliate relationships with IBIS Advisors and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris.

"Nick is the latest addition to Lockton's exceptional global leadership team," said Peter Clune, US president and chief operating officer. "With the collaborative expertise of Nick on the US benefits business, along with Simon Gilliat in his international role, and Michael Lombardi who is focused on our global risk business, Lockton's global presence is stronger and more impactful than ever."

Dobelbower received his master's degree and Ph.D. from Duke University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from The George Washington University. In addition, he holds a diploma in international employee benefits from the Pensions Management Institute (PMI) and is an International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plan Fellow.
