Pentegra Announces Three Executive Promotions

White Plains, NY, January 27, 2019 -- Today, Pentegra announced three executive promotions: Peter Sprague has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Information Technology and Chief Technology Officer; Lars Ernst has been promoted to Vice President, Regulatory Compliance; and Kelly Casella has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Plan Documents.

Pete Sprague joined Pentegra in March, 2014 as Vice President, Information Technology. As Senior Vice President, he will spearhead Pentegra’s large-scale integration of technology and operational processes, driving productive relationships between business partners, technology teams and customers. His extensive knowledge of software and systems, combined with his deep insights and experience in customer needs have been instrumental in elevating Pentegra’s technology solutions. Prior to joining Pentegra, Sprague spent more than 15 years at Morgan Stanley, most recently as Executive Director, Field and Client Technology, where he led the sales technology and global development teams, greatly increasing the productivity of operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in business from Marist College.

Lars Ernst joined Pentegra in April 2015, as Director of Regulatory Compliance. He was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2017. As Vice President, Regulatory Compliance he ensures that Pentegra and its subsidiaries remain in compliance with all federal and state regulatory requirements and that the organization continues to operate at the highest ethical and corporate governance standards. Ernst serves as the Chief Compliance Officer of Pentegra’s broker-dealer and registered investment adviser and serves as the company’s Chief Privacy Officer and Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer. Prior to Pentegra, he served as Head of Operations/Compliance for the sales and trading arm of the boutique investment bank, Fieldstone Private Capital Group. He also held positions at UBS and SS&C GlobeOp. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University along with FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 99 licenses.

Kelly Casella has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Plan Documents.  She joined Pentegra in October, 1999.  In her new role Casella will direct Pentegra’s plan document services, helping clients design retirement plans for successful outcomes. She will also oversee every aspect of prototype and individually designed plans, monitoring documents for compliance and handling plan amendments and document restatements. Her strong technical expertise has been instrumental in expanding Pentegra’s plan administration capabilities. Prior to Pentegra, she was with Diversified Investments. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.
