Alliance Benefit Group Goes Virtual with Executive Forum

Peoria, IL, May 11, 2020 - Like all other conferences, ABG (Alliance Benefit Group) had to cancel our semi-annual Executive Forum, which had been planned for March in Savannah, GA. So in lieu of that, last week ABG held its first ever Virtual Executive Forum.

“We went around the “virtual room” and asked each of our 16 firms two questions.” said Don Mackanos, President of Alliance Benefit Group, LLC.

  1. Name the 1-2 most important things you have learned about your business during these times that you will implement once we return to normalcy.
  2. Name the 1-2 best strategies you are working now that are producing results on either revenue growth, client satisfaction, or expense control.

“With about 50 people in attendance, it was great to see such a good turnout. The virtual format proved to be so informational and popular we’re going to schedule regular virtual meetings in the future. Now is the time when we’ve really proven our value proposition with advisors, sponsor and participants. We’re finding all are now looking for holistic solutions, giving us an opportunity to broaden our footprint. Some ABG firms have conducted as many as 300 one-on-ones with participants for personal consultation appointments.”

During this crisis, independent recordkeepers are adjusting, staying more nimble than our big box competitors by communicating frequently, and building alternate service delivery mechanisms. We firmly believe in “Buy Local” mentality as we’re not much different than your local restaurateurs. We have to be able to modify and adapt to stay relevant. You know the old saying….when life hands you lemons, you need to make lemonade.
