Transamerica Selects Chris Messina as Director of Client Engagement

Transamerica announced today that Chris Messina joined the company as Director of Client
Engagement. He will report to M. Palmer Whitney, Senior Director Client Engagement, Workplace
Solutions. Mr. Messina will focus on working with client executives to create best strategies and
practices for Transamerica's plan sponsor clients.

With more than 26 years working in financial services, Mr. Messina has extensive experience with mid-
and large-market retirement plans, including defined contribution, defined benefit and non-qualified
plans. Mr. Messina earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Babson College and a
bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.

"Chris brings a wealth of knowledge of effective retirement plan strategies and a strong reputation
among financial professionals as a highly qualified consultant," said Mr. Whitney. "We are confident that
