What Happens When Spouse and Rail Worker Divorce and Then Remarry

Question 1032: My husband has been with the railroad for 33 years....if we divorce and remarry some day would I lose my entitlement to Railroad Retirement benefits?
Answer: If you and your husband divorce, you will lose the Tier 2 of your Spouse Annuity. If you remarry, your entitlement to a Divorced Spouse Annuity will end.
