Death benefits From Group Life Insurance
(Posted November 23, 2013)
Question 1076: What death benefit is paid to a spouse? I have read that it's $2,000 from MetLife.
Answer: The death benefit you refer to is paid from group life insurance, not from Railroad Retirement. You should contact Met Life or the benefits office at your railroad to find out more information about group life insurance.
