Stop, Look & Listen: Railroad Retirement Benefits Q&A

Answers are provided by Robert S. Kaufman

Finding Out About Life Insurance

(Posted November 24, 2013)

Question 1077: My dad worked for the railroad for 40 plus years and retired then past away last year. How do I find if he had life insurance threw the railroad?

Answer: Life Insurance is not part of Railroad Retirement. You need to contact the last railroad that your father worked for, for information about his group life insurance.
