Question 1116: I will retire with 38 years of service in 2016. Will cashing in my 401(k) or 457 accounts affect my Railroad Retirement benefits?
Answer: Redeeming retirement accounts such as 401(k) and 457 plans will not affect your Railroad Retirement Annuity.
