Widow Remarries After 60
(Posted June 25, 2014)
Question 1145: I am currently drawing my deceased husband's railroad retirement. If I remarry, can I continue to draw his retirement? If so, how much would I be entitled to receive?
Answer: Since you are over 60 when you remarry, you will be entitled to a Remarried Widow's Annuity. It will be smaller than your current annuity because you will no longer receive a Tier 2 benefit.
