Question 1240: I am the spouse of a retired railroad employee. Can I receive both my earned Social Security benefit and Tier 2 benefit at the same time?
You are correct. You can receive both your own Social Security Benefit and a Spouse Annuity from Railroad Retirement. Your Tier 1 will be reduced for your Social Security but your Tier 2 won't.
