Hearing Loss from Rail Work
(Posted November 22, 2016)
Question 1253: Are there any benefits payable for loss of hearing due to railroad employment?
As you are aware, rail workers are not covered State Workman's Compensation Laws. Instead, if there is any loss or on-the-job injury, rail workers must sue their employer under Federal Employees Liability Act.
I suggest that you ask your Brotherhood for a referral to an attorney who handles this type of litigation.
