Timeframes For RRB To Review Disputed Claims
(Posted August 3, 2002)
Question 184: I asked the RRB to review my award (per paragraph 3 in Q&A 181 of this column). They sent me an acknowledgement of my request over a month ago. How much time should I allow before following up?
Answer: I would give them 60 days from the date of their acknowledgement. If you don't hear anything by then, you should call the RRB local district office and ask them to find out the status of your request.
