Online Death Information For Deceased Rail Workers
(Posted April 3, 2003)
Question 234: I can look up people I knew who have died on the SSA Online Death Records site. My late father was a rail worker. Neither he nor other coworkers from Washington state are listed on that site. Does Railroad Retirment have a special site for deceased rail workers?
Answer: The SSA Online Death Records site contains records for some-- but not all-- deceased rail workers. The RRB does not have public access to its death records at this time. I suggest you contact the state of Washington to see if its death recodrs are online and can be accessed by the public.
