Spouse Benefits for Spouse Receiving Social Security Disability Benefits

Question 292: I have more than 30 years of railroad service. My wife is going on disability from Social Security. When I retire, will she collect Railroad Retirement also?
Answer: Yes, when she reaches 60, she will receive a spouse annuity. Her Tier 1 benefits will be reduced by her own Social Security benefits.
