2004 Cost-Of-Living Benefit Increase

Question 362: What is the percentage increase for Railroad Retirement for 2004?
Answer: Tier 1 benefits are increased by 2.1% (the same increase in Social Security and other federal pensions).
Tier 2 benefits are increased by 0.7%.
Both increases became effective in December 2003 and are reflected in January 2004 payments.
