Question 429: How do I find a deceased person's Social Security Number?
Answer: The best way is to ask the Social Security Administration. But you will need to give the reason you need it. And be prepared to furnish as much personal data as you can, including the person's date of birth, date and place of death, parents' names, and place of birth.
