Question 447: If one is receiving Railroad Retirement, is he still covered under a group health care insurance plan?
Answer: Except for Medicare, health coverage of retired railroad workers and their dependents is outside of the Railroad Retirement program. Information about health coverage should be obtained from the individual's railroad employer.
