Question 483: I'm a divorced spouse of a city policeman. I was awarded a portion of his pension. I'm now married to a railroad employee who is nearing retirement. Will the payments from my former husband's pension affect my spouse benefit?
Answer: Payments from your former husband's retirement should have no effect on your spouse benefit from Railroad Retirement.
