Question 485: My husband works for Amtrak. He's in his 15th year of service. If he dies, do I get any survivor type of benefits, as his spouse of 25 years?
Answer: Yes, if you are under 60 when your husband dies, you will receive a lump-sum death benefit of $255 and you will receive a widow's annuity at 60 if you have not remarried.
